The summer is getting very dry. I have never seen the water level of the lower pond so low, it is actually drying out. The upper pond is regularly filled up from the tap by me and still attracts flocks of birds. It also receives regular visits of rather vandalistic wild boar: almost every morning I have to rearrange a couple of big stones on the shore which were upturned by them. They also have the strange habit of cutting down the large flower stalks of Lythrum salicaria without eating them. Perhaps going after some grubs inside the stalks?

El verano se vuelve muy seco. Nunca he visto el nivel del agua tan bajo en el estanque inferior, realmente se está secando. El estanque superior se rellena regularmente con agua del grifo y todavía atrae montones de pájaros. También recibe visitas regulares, bastante vandálicas, de jabalís: casi cada mañana tengo que ordenar unas cuantas piedras de la orilla que fueron trastocadas. También tienen el extraño hábito de cortar los largos tallos florales de Lythrum salicaria sin comerlos. Quizás buscan orugas dentro de ellos.
