The new doorway was consolidated with some strong boards (6x20cm) and luckily we were able to maintain the last upper layer of strawbales. There are now two parallel walls (straw bales compact during the first three months so it was not possible to use one wall for the two parts of the building) and the space between them can be used for several things. In this case I installed a sliding door, saving valuable space in the interior.

La nueva puerta se consolidó con unas vigas fuertes (6x20cm) y afortunadamente pudimos salvar la ultima capa superior de las balas de paja. Ahora hay dos muros paralelos (las balas se compactan durante los tres primeros meses asi que no fue posible utilizar un muro para las dos partes del edificio) y el espacio entre ellos se puede utilizar para varias cosas. En este caso instalé una puerta corrediza, ahorrando un espacio apreciable en el interior.
