In order to join the new wing to the existing garden house in a graceful and balanced way, we designed to build it partly into the ground. Drainage becomes very important then and the trench outside the foundation wall was installed for that matter. It has a drainage tube at the bottom and will be filled up with gravel.
The image also shows the place where a door will connect the two spaces; quite an adventurous operation which will involve the opening of the existing straw bale wall and some method to avoid its disintegration.

Para juntar la nueva ala en harmonia con la caseta existente, la diseñamos parcialmente metida en el suelo. El drenaje tiene entonces un papel importante y la zanja fuera del muro de cimiento realiza esta función. Tiene un tubo de drenaje al fondo y se rellenará con grava.
El imagen también muestra el lugar donde una puerta conectará los dos espacios; todo una operación aventurosa que implica la apertura del muro de paja existente y algún método para evitar su desintegración.
