The foundation wall of concrete blocks is reinforced with horizontal and vertical iron bars and the blocks are filled up with concrete. Together with the round form this will render a more than sufficiently strong wall. The horizontal black EPDM sheet will stop humidity sucking upwards into the wall. The inside of the upper wall will be filled up with cob (a mixture of sand, clay and straw) which is more ecological, cheaper and insulates better than concrete.

El muro de cimiento esta armado con barras verticales y horizontales de hierro y los bloques se rellenan con hormigón. Esto y la forma redonda del muro lo hace mas que suficientemente fuerte. La lamina negra de EPDM tiene que frenar la humedad que puede subir desde el suelo. El interior del muro superior se rellenará con adobe (o 'cob', una mezcla de arena, arcilla y paja) que es mas ecológico, barato y aislante que el hormigon.
