2009 November 24 to 27

Important aesthetic improvements of the garden house. The exterior walls were completely covered and protected with earth plaster and this made it possible to eventually cut back the ugly black EPDM sheet hanging down from the roof. I took away the supporting oak trunk which was substituted by a board inside the straw bale wall. And I sawed the extremes of the rafters to an angle of about 20º.
The overall effect is that of a severe haircut. The roof has lost much of its dominating character and has become much lighter.

The pond is always presentable and is one of the most fascinating features of the terrain, with its everlasting play of changing light, colour, texture and form.
