Saved from the scythe

I have gradually begun to do some haymaking, always experiencing some kind of threshold for cutting down a vegetation which often still offers so much for the eye to enjoy, especially in comparison with the dull area of mown plants. This year the vegetation is fabulously lush and abundant due to the wet winter and spring and the grasses Phleum phleoides (left on the photo) and Aegilops triuncialis (with the red glow, in the middle) form beautiful moving fields. The tussock of Melica ciliata (in front on the right) is very nice and was saved from the scythe.

Empecé poco a poco a hacer algo de siega, siempre experimentando algo como un umbral para cortar una vegetación que a menudo todavía ofrece mucho para la vista, sobre todo en comparación con la área árida de plantas cortadas. Este año la vegetación esta exuberante por el invierno y la primavera lluviosas y las gramíneas Phleum phleoides (a la izquierda en la foto) y Aegilops triuncialis (con el brillo rojo, en el centro) forman preciosos campos movientes. La mata de Melica ciliata (en primer plano a la derecha) es bonito y fue salvado de la guadaña.
