The big south window and the little wood stove in the kitchen really don`t seem to be able to sufficiently heat the new wing (see anterior entry). I decided to install another stove (bigger and more sufficient with a nice window) and luckily there was a good place available, for the stove and for the chimney on the flat roof. I had had some worries about the risk of leakage on the flat roof but modern products to make chimney holes in EPDM sheets (`Form Flash`) are quite reliable and the location on the roof at the top of a small slope is not so risky either. To avoid direct contact between the (insulated) chimney pipe and the wooden roof, filled with straw, a similar procedure as for the first stove was used: a cylinder of heat resistant mortar mixed with expanded clay pellets (`Arlita`) for insulation and weight reduction.

La ventana grande y la pequeña estufa de leña de la cocina no parecen lograr calentar suficientemente el ala nueva (ver entrada anterior). Decidí instalar otra estufa (más grande y eficiente con una bonita ventana) y afortunadamente hubo un buen sitio disponible, tanto para la estufa como para la chimenea en el tejado. Primero había tenido preocupaciones sobre el riesgo de entradas de agua en el tejado plano pero los productos modernos para hacer agujeros en las lonas impermeables de EPDM ('Form Flash') son bastante fiables y la ubicación en el tejado en lo alto de un pequeño pendiente tampoco es tan arriesgada. Para evitar el contacto directo entre el tubo (doble) y el tejado de madera, llenado con paja, se utilizó el mismo método que para la primera estufa: un cilindro de mortero refractario mezclado con gránulos de arcilla expandida ('Arlita') para aislamiento y reducción de peso.
